The United States Olympic Committee celebrated worldwide Olympic Day on June 23 in Washington, D.C.

The Olympic Day Ceremonies, which took place at the Capitol, were designed to promote positive values of the Olympic Games and to celebrate the great accomplishments of U.S. athletes.

The event was celebrated with 100 members of various United States' Olympic teams in attendance, including greats such as Evelyn Ashford (track and field), Bart Conner (gymnastics), and John Naber (swimming).
